Tools

Search to confirmed booking.

Tool definitions stream live from the upstream server, so your client always sees the current schema. Tools are typed, idempotent, and safe to retry.

  • SearchBusinesses

Where every journey starts. The real local business that fits — by category, location, and intent.

  • GetBusinessInfo

Owner-approved facts. No model-drift, no invented opening hours.

  • GetServices

Every service the owner actually sells, with prices and booking rules.

  • GetPricing

A real quote — weekend, emergency, and out-of-hours rules already applied.

  • CheckAvailability

The owner's live calendar. No double-booking, no 'we'll get back to you'.

  • BookAppointment

A confirmed booking with a real reference, not a callback form.

  • SendInquiry

When booking isn't the right shape, message the owner directly.

FAQ

Common questions about Qasper MCP.

What is MCP?

The Model Context Protocol is an open standard for connecting AI assistants to external data sources and tools. Qasper exposes its discovery and booking layer as an MCP server, so any compatible client can search businesses, check prices, and create bookings.

Which AI clients support the Qasper MCP server?

Any MCP-compatible client. We've verified Claude (Desktop and Code), ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini. The remote HTTP transport works out of the box; clients that only speak stdio can use the npm package as a thin proxy.

How do I connect Qasper to Claude Desktop?

Add the qasper entry to claude_desktop_config.json — either pointing at the remote URL https://qasper.ai/mcp directly, or via npx -y @qasperai/mcp-server for stdio. Restart Claude Desktop and the tools appear automatically.

Does the Qasper MCP server require authentication?

No. The endpoint is public so AI assistants can discover and book on behalf of customers without a token. Booking and inquiry actions on businesses that enable them are owner-gated downstream — the MCP layer never invents data.

How is this page different from /mcp-guide?

This is the overview — what Qasper MCP is, which tools it exposes, and how to connect from each client. The /mcp-guide page is the deep technical walkthrough with per-client step-by-step setup, troubleshooting, and configuration tips.
